ENGLISH MEANING
Lord Ganesha, known by many names — Sumukha (graceful-faced), Ekadanta (single-tusked), Kapila (tawny-colored), Gajakarna (elephant-eared), Lambodara (big-bellied), Vikata (huge-bodied), Vighnanasha (remover of obstacles), and Vinayaka (the leader of all beings).
TRANSLITERATION
sumukhaḥ ca ekadantaḥ ca kapilaḥ gajakarṇakaḥ lambodaraḥ ca vikaṭaḥ vighnanāśaḥ vināyakaḥ .

He is Dhumraketu (smoke-bannered), Ganadhyaksha (chief of the divine hosts), Bhalachandra (moon-crested), and Gajanan (elephant-faced).
Whoever reads or listens to these twelve names will be free from all obstacles.
विद्यारम्भे विवाहे च विदेशगमने तथा ।
संग्रामे सङ्कटे चैव विघ्नस्तस्य न जायते ॥

vidyā-ārambhe vivāhe ca videśa-gamane tathā saṃgrāme saṅkaṭe ca eva vighnaḥ tasya na jāyate .
