ENGLISH MEANING
The devotee meditates on Goddess Saraswati, the radiant Mother of Knowledge, pure and white like the moon, adorned with a garland of snow-white flowers and a veena in hand, seated on a lotus, worshipped by Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva — praying to Her to remove all ignorance and bless with wisdom.
Invoke Goddess Saraswati in front of the Bahi-Khate or books by chanting the prescribed Mantra. Keep your hands in Avahan Mudra (invocation posture) while calling Her.
The devotee humbly invokes Goddess Saraswati, the embodiment of brilliance and learning, requesting Her to descend and accept the worship offered with devotion and purity.
After invoking Maa Saraswati, take five flowers in both palms (Anjali Mudra) and place them near the Bahi-Khate or books as an offering of a seat to the Goddess while chanting the prescribed Mantra.
hrough offerings of water, sandal, flowers, incense, lamp, food, and devotion, the devotee expresses surrender and reverence to Goddess Saraswati, seeking Her grace for knowledge, eloquence, and divine enlightenment — Om Shri Saraswatyai Namah, Anena Poojanena Shri Saraswati Devi Priyatam, Namo Namah.
Now perform the Puja of Maa Saraswati with sandal paste (Chandan), rice grains (Akshata), flowers (Pushpa), incense (Dhoop), lamp (Deep), and food offering (Naivedya) while chanting the prescribed Mantras.
Each offering to Goddess Saraswati — from water and sandal to flowers, incense, lamp, food, and betel — represents purity, devotion, and the illumination of wisdom through heartfelt reverence.
